About Reminiscence Ireland

Reminiscence Ireland was established to promote the use of reminiscence work as a social intervention in the Republic of Ireland. Our aims are to raise awareness, promote best practice through training, and engage in facilitation of reminiscence work at a local and national level. Reminiscence Ireland recognises the value of reminiscence work as an important tool in person-centred care planning, in promoting active social engagement in later life, and in affirming participation in the social, educational and public life of our communities.
